ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene estiré) is a very shock resistant plastic widely used in automotive and other industrial or domestic uses.

The most important feature of ABS is its high toughness at any temperature. This is especially interesting for cold environments, where other plastics become brittle.

In addition it is hard and it is rigid; its chemical resistance is acceptable; has low water absorption and therefore good dimensional stability; has a high resistance to abrasion;

Its applications include:

• Automobile Industry: Chrome plated, internal and external body parts that are painted. Bumper.
